Our Focus

Sustainable Development Goals

YBDI engages in a wide range of activities to reduce carbon emissions, including research and communication assistance. Our efforts cover topics such as biodiesel standardization, sustainable palm oil plantations, using used cooking oil as biodiesel raw material, the impact of biodiesel on vehicle engines, empowerment programs for smallholder farmers, and accelerating electric car policies. These initiatives support sustainable development goals in Indonesia.

Energy Transition

We work relentlessly to support the transition energy agenda through multistakeholder partnerships. A key milestone is the electrification of public transportation, which plays a crucial role in reducing emissions and alleviating street congestion. There is an urgent need to accelerate the provision of EV charging stations. Additionally, we map the EV battery supply chain, discussing the origin of materials and the ecosystem's social and economic impacts on surrounding areas.

Forest and Land Use

YBDI empowers the extension of the moratorium on oil palm plantations, forest fire management and prevention programs, and social forestry through synergy, collaboration, and community engagement. In Papua, YBDI plays a crucial role in balancing development and preservation. We partner with civil society, local governments, and indigenous communities to promote green development, preserving the lush forests and diverse ecosystems. This balanced approach ensures that progress and preservation go hand in hand, guiding us towards a sustainable future.

Circular Economy

In our relentless pursuit of circular economy, we are dedicated to ensuring the success of social forestry and eco-tourism initiatives. We provide hands-on support and guidance to communities, helping them develop eco-tourism ventures that are both environmentally sustainable and economically beneficial. By leveraging each community's rich natural resources and unique cultural heritage, we aim to create eco-tourism models that empower local residents, preserve biodiversity, and attract sustainable tourism. Together, we are building a future where social forestry drives economic growth, protects the environment, and enhances the quality of life for all.

Climate Mitigation

We initiated a campaign focused on reducing air pollution in big cities in Indonesia This campaign is being intensified with the local government in several areas. We are exploring the issue of air pollution linked to emissions from the transportation sector, particularly regarding fuel quality. Our collaboration aims to raise awareness and provide actionable insights into reducing transportation-related pollution.

Health

At YBDI, we are committed to making a transformative impact on Indonesia's healthcare landscape as part of the "Golden Indonesia 2024" vision. Our mission is to tackle pressing health sector challenges and seize groundbreaking opportunities to elevate healthcare for all Indonesians. Collaboration is at the heart of our strategy. We’re building robust partnerships with the private sector, NGOs, and international organizations to enhance healthcare infrastructure and services. We're also leveraging the power of digital transformation to revolutionize healthcare delivery.
